(comic) Cold Calls

Use mails to set up phone call appointments. Why is this not the standard ?

I always decline cold calls. For me they are equivalent to fraud :D

That is kinda rude to call without any prior notification

Second job was for a sports betting company. Description listed admin tasks but from the second day it was cold calling gamblers to try and get them put two bets on, one for themselves and one for us based on alpha we would have about the horses.
It was so miserable and value extractive that it put me off cold calling as a mechanic.
