CNCF has nearly doubled the number of certified platforms in its Kubernetes AI Conformance Program, growing from 18 to 31 since its November 2025 launch. New entrants include OVHcloud, SpectroCloud, JD Cloud, and China Unicom Cloud. The update introduces stricter Kubernetes AI Requirements (KARs) aligned with v1.35, covering agentic workload support, stable in-place pod resizing, and workload-aware scheduling. New technical benchmarks (KAR-10, KAR-11, KAR-41) address high-performance pod communication, advanced inference ingress, and disaggregated inference. The 2026 roadmap includes automated conformance testing via a 'Verify Conformance Bot' and expansion into Sovereign AI standards focused on sandboxing and data privacy.
