CMake 4.3 Released With Package Import/Export Using The Common Package Specification

CMake 4.3 has been released, introducing stable package import/export support using the Common Package Specification (CPS), a JSON-based format for describing software packages aimed at improving interoperability across build systems and package managers. The release also adds a cmake-instrumentation command for collecting timing, target, and diagnostic data in Google Trace Event Format, and adds support for HIP language code compiled for SPIR-V targets via the chipStar project.
