This caused widespread 500-series errors for users and highlighted the fragility of centralized internet infrastructures, like those provided by Cloudflare and other major hyperscalers such as AWS.
The disruption started around 6:00 AM Eastern time when an unexpected spike in traffic occurred, ultimately leading to challenges with managing bot traffic and other security protocols.
