Anthropic has expanded Claude's memory feature to free-tier users, previously restricted to paid plans starting at $20/month. The company also launched a tool to import memory data from other AI services like OpenAI, including a suggested prompt to extract stored user data. Claude's iOS app has reached #1 on the U.S. App Store, free plan users are up 60% since the start of the year, and paid subscribers have doubled. Anthropic is also moving other features — like connectors to Slack, Figma, and 150+ services — to the free tier as it capitalizes on growing consumer momentum.
