Claude’s consumer growth surge continues after Pentagon deal debacle

Data from Appfigures shows Claude reaching 149,000 daily U.S. downloads on March 2, surpassing ChatGPT's 124,000. Similarweb reports Claude hit 11.3 million daily active users on March 2, up 183% from the start of the year. Anthropic also reports over 1 million sign-ups per day, with Claude holding the No. 1 app position in 16 countries. ChatGPT still dominates with 250.5 million daily active users, but saw a 6.5% month-over-month web traffic drop during the same period.
