Anthropic has launched Claude Managed Agents, a public beta suite of composable APIs for building and deploying cloud-hosted AI agents. It handles production infrastructure concerns like sandboxed code execution, state management, credential management, scoped permissions, and end-to-end tracing. Key features include long-running autonomous sessions, multi-agent coordination (research preview), and trusted governance with scoped permissions. Internal testing showed up to 10-point improvement in task success over standard prompting loops. Early adopters include Notion, Rakuten, Asana, Sentry, and Vibecode. Pricing is consumption-based at standard Claude token rates plus $0.08 per session-hour.
