An open-source developer used Claude Opus 4.7 (Claude Code) to autonomously figure out how to run Adobe Lightroom CC on Linux via Wine. The AI did most of the heavy lifting after being prompted to get Lightroom CC working and publish a reproducible recipe. The solution involves Wine-Staging with experimental patches, patched DLL files, and new stub DLLs. The result supports cloud syncing and most features, though some dialogs may crash and GPU-accelerated features may be incomplete. A reproducible recipe is published on GitHub.
