Chrome is introducing automatic revocation of notification permissions for sites with low user engagement and high notification volume. The feature, rolling out on Android and desktop, uses Safety Check to remove permissions from sites users haven't interacted with recently, while preserving notifications for installed web apps. Testing shows significant reduction in notification overload with minimal impact on engagement, and users can easily re-grant permissions or disable the feature entirely.
