Google has released Chrome 147 stable for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Key changes include new Local Network Access (LNA) restrictions affecting WebSockets, WebTransport, and Service Workers to reduce fingerprinting and attack vectors. New features include the Web Printing API for isolated web apps, CSS border-shape, CSS contrast-color(), WebXR Layers, WebXR Plane Detection, and new JavaScript additions. A developer trial introduces lazy-loading for audio and video elements. WebNN, which leverages native OS services and hardware acceleration for machine learning on the web, is promoted from developer trial to origin trial.
