currently am using mint, love it so far. Just got to get used to installing software in non traditional ways sometimes.

Hi, first of all good video and I appreciate the willing to help new potential joiners of Linux it’s very valuable.
I think the biggest confusion for new linux adopters is to believe that Distro = Window manager.
And actually they should more focus on: packages release philosophy (debian like slow / vs to the edge (arch like)
Also about community/documentation, LTS availability etc.
Because well honestly I switched from Mandriva / Debian / Ubuntu Gnome / Ubuntu I3WM / Arch I3WM (home) and Ubuntu Sway (work)
In the end… Sway/I3WM are kind of equivalent, and the distrib under just change the way I install my stuff :) not a big deal.
We give too much importance like it’s a “Life choice to choose a distro” don’t you think? I believe it’s good to try a few distros and see what fits the most.
