US government satellites detected a fireball from a meteor labeled IM1, which was found to have an interstellar origin. Fragments from IM1 were retrieved and analyzed, revealing a unique chemical composition called the "BeLaU"-type. The findings suggest that the spherules may have originated from differentiation in a magma ocean on an exo-planet with an iron core.
