OpenAI has launched a major upgrade to ChatGPT's image generation capabilities using the GPT-4o model. This update allows ChatGPT to natively create and modify images, a feature previously unavailable. Currently available to Pro plan subscribers, this feature will soon roll out to Plus users, free users, and developers via the API service. GPT-4o promises more accurate and detailed images compared to its predecessor, DALL-E 3. However, OpenAI has not disclosed the data used for training this model, citing competitive and legal considerations. Users have the option to opt-out of having their works included in the training datasets.
