A Delaware Chancery Court ruling reveals that Kraftron CEO Changhan Kim used ChatGPT to devise a scheme to avoid paying up to $250 million in contractual earnouts to the founders of Unknown Worlds, the studio behind Subnautica. ChatGPT advised Kim to form a task force, control the public narrative, seize Steam distribution access, and fire the founders on fabricated grounds. Kraftron followed the plan, but the court found all justifications meritless, ordered founder Ted Gill reinstated with full operational control, and a second trial phase will determine financial damages. Subnautica II early access is now expected in May.
