OpenTTD is no longer available as a standalone free game on Steam and GOG. New players must now purchase a $9.99 bundle that includes the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe (re-released by Atari) alongside OpenTTD. Existing owners are unaffected and will continue receiving updates. OpenTTD remains free to download directly from the official website and other platforms. The open-source development team and project structure remain unchanged.
