Chainguard EmeritOSS expands its initiative to maintain abandoned but widely-used open source projects, adding 10 new programs including MinIO object storage, multiple Prometheus exporters (PushProx, Cassandra, JSON, RabbitMQ, Python RQ), database tools (PgCat PostgreSQL pooler), and Kubernetes utilities. The program provides security patches and maintenance for mature projects whose original maintainers have stepped away, offering free source code on GitHub plus commercial container images and APK packages.
