The CentOS project has launched a new special interest group called Accelerated Infrastructure Enablement (AIE SIG), focused on providing a fast lane for integrating upstream patches—particularly from NVIDIA—into CentOS Stream 10. The SIG targets optimized ARM64 Linux kernel builds, advanced virtualization, and networking capabilities for NVIDIA's ConnectX, BlueField, and Spectrum-X hardware platforms. Key platforms of focus include NVIDIA GB200 and Vera Rubin, with plans to deliver ISOs and disk images for day-zero hardware support. Work from this SIG is expected to flow back into Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) once features stabilize and are accepted upstream.
