CATL has unveiled its third-generation Shenxing LFP (lithium-iron phosphate) battery, capable of charging from 10 to 98% in under 7 minutes — nearly five times faster than leading 800V NMC packs from Hyundai and Porsche. The battery also features self-heating for performance in Arctic temperatures. It is positioned as CATL's direct answer to BYD's Blade Battery 2.0, highlighting the rapid advancement of Chinese EV powertrain technology.
