Lyft has donated Cartography, an open-source tool for security and vulnerability management, to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). Originally designed to find attack paths in cloud environments, Cartography evolved into a valuable asset for security teams to understand and mitigate risks. Open sourcing Cartography helped build a strong community, lead to company hires, and improve Lyft's internal processes. Moving to CNCF aims to ensure its sustainability and growth with broader community support.
