<p>Canadian authorities have arrested Alexander Moucka, also known by the aliases ‘Judische’ and ‘Waifu’, on suspicion of breaching hundreds of Snowflake accounts and stealing personal data belonging to millions. The compromise, initially disclosed by Live Nation, affected 165 Snowflake customers, impacting major corporations such as Ticketmaster, AT&amp;T, and Santander Bank.</p>
<p>The breaches were investigated by the cybersecurity firm Mandiant, which confirmed that attackers used stolen login credentials acquired via infostealer malware. The compromised accounts were not protected by multi-factor authentication, making them susceptible to unauthorized access. Moucka and his cybercrime group, identified as UNC5537, exploited these vulnerabilities to carry out their attacks.</p>
<p>The investigation revealed that Moucka boasted about his successful hacks on Telegram and had demanded ransom payments from affected organizations to prevent the sale of stolen data on the dark web. Some companies, facing significant financial and reputational damage, opted to pay the ransoms.</p>
