Campfire is SaaS without the aaS

<p>I watched the video Jason did for Campfire and I mostly had issues with the fact that things are not in the same place as they are in Slack and Discord (e.g., channels on the left, chat on the right). I think the major problem for trying to replace Slack with Campfire at my company is that it lacks the bot API (and thus 3rd-party apps). My coworkers are reliant on half a dozen (maybe more) integrations with Slack.</p>
<p>Once that base is covered, it’s themes. Must have dark mode. After that, I’m pretty much sold. I hate Slack’s “new UI” just as much as I hate IntelliJ’s. They moved stuff and made it harder to find reminders and things. Nothing annoys me more than major changes to a UI that aren’t optional.</p>
