A maker built a pocket e-reader called Mimisbrunnur by repurposing an old calculator case. The build uses a 5.83-inch e-paper display, an RP2040 microcontroller on an Adafruit Feather breakout board, a 2000 mAh LiPo battery, and a micro SD card for storage. Eight buttons below the display handle navigation, and LEDs provide reading light in the dark. Everything fits together using perfboard and risers inside the original case.
