CachyOS continues to outperform Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and Fedora Workstation 44 in out-of-the-box Linux performance benchmarks. Testing was conducted on an HP Z6 G5 A workstation with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9975WX, DDR5-5600 memory, and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPU. CachyOS achieves its performance edge through compiler optimizations, AMD Zen-optimized package builds, custom kernel patches, and other aggressive tuning. Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS was also included as a baseline reference. With Intel's Clear Linux discontinued, CachyOS stands as a leading option for maximum out-of-the-box Linux performance.
