“Bye bye bye.” It took some time, and a serious amount of research, but I have finally crossed the finish line. I have officially migrated my digital life to pure, EU-hosted solutions, and saved 500€ yearly.

Recently moved off of Google Analytics in favor of a self-hosted Plausible. Repurposing an old laptop as the server was a fun little project over the holidays and now my websites don’t require any cookie banners. Win-win.
Now my email and analytics are all EU privacy focused alternatives.
Looking for more ways to move off of US big tech.

You said you do not have an alternative to Grammarly, yet you are using DeepL and Mammouth. What are you using Grammarly for?
Because DeepL Write could be used for grammar checking as well and you could also write a custom prompt for fixing grammar in mammouth i suppose if it has a prompts feature.

Well, Ecosia is nice but it relies on Google and Bing to provide results, so it’s not really an european solution… I use Qwant on a daily basis, results are very good IMO.

As for enjoying Claude Code, I can recommend checking out some variant of openhands + Claude via openrouter (they have privacy-respecting endpoints) or (and I haven’t tried this myself), run it off Mammoth APIs, or use LiteLLM and AWS Bedrock as a LLM provider. All these variants give you Claude LLMs plus agentic coding at a price-per-token basis rather than the Claude Code cost.
