The JS world is so absurd, it doesn’t only have hundreds of frameworks and libraries for any given programming task, it also has multiple runtimes and toolchains for devs to keep track of. Each with their own idiosyncrasies.
The positive side is all the innovation and the “common” compatibility with Node between all those things.

I just want Deno and Bun to fight it out, so that Node.JS catches up with the good things as it is going nowhere.

Bun is great, but Deno came after Node and is better, which means Done will come out eventually.
Anyone else waiting for Done?

Tried deno and I’m very pleased how it works, how testing, deploying, building, etc is easy, without all this node_modules mess, but renaming all my imports all around the code from “import {foo} from ‘baz’” into “…from ‘baz.ts’” is so annoying. Also requirement to import from “module/index.ts” instead just “module” makes me angry. I need to try bun. If not, I will stay with node for some time. It should be possible to load existing TS code without refactoring.
