Building a website like it's 1999... in 2022

I actually build websites in 1999. Back then FLASH just started and was a big thing. by 2004, millions of amazing Flash templates were built and sold with animations and visuals far superiors of today’s
The technology died as it was not open-source and search engines couldn’t index it.
HTML &amp; CSS was pretty basic, just tables and colors and million browser bugs.

Good Old Times where we didn’t need google.
We bookmarked interesting websites; and shared them with others using a piece of paper.
You just reminded me of school days when I was used to build websites like these using FrontPage.
Not good websites, but as mentioned in the article, we could express our selves the way we want in our html space.
Now people express themselves mainly based on other companies rules on a fake page as posts and tweets.

Wonderful article, harkening back to a simpler time.
I know we have better web standards now, but we lost something along the way…

This is great still remember my old site looking like that indeed. :-)
