A DIY word clock built around an ESP32 microcontroller, featuring WS2812 addressable LEDs, a DS1307 RTC module for timekeeping, and a VEML7700 ambient light sensor for automatic brightness control. The clock face uses laser-cut acrylic lettering housed in an oak picture frame with anti-reflective glass. Two LEDs per letter enable color gradients, and configuration is handled via a web interface hosted on the ESP32. Home Assistant integration is planned for a future update.
