Java developers require a simple library to work with Open AI APIs. This blog describes my efforts at building such a library. This library will help Java developers create GenAI products in a language that they are comfortable with.

GOOpenAI is a blog or publication that focuses on exploring and discussing advancements, research, and applications related to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Java, while dominant in enterprise software development, lacks sufficient resources for AI development, which is currently led by Python. To bridge this gap, a new Java library supporting OpenAI's latest APIs is being developed. Initial support for the Chat Completion API is available, with future updates planned to cover additional APIs. Developers can follow along and contribute through the GitHub repository.

If you’re using spring though, there is a Spring AI project which has a really good integration with (among others) openai.</p>
