I have been running pi hole on my home network for years now. It’s a life saver. 10% of requests get blocked. No more distracting ads all over the place. And the good thing is you don’t need to install anything on your pc or phone.

I set this up on a raspberry pi a few years ago. it was great at blocking ads and unnecessary traffic, but the pi was too much of a bottleneck for it to be worth it. One of these days I will set up a proper home server and run it again.
