A walkthrough of building a command-line deep research tool using the Browserbase SDK for web search and page fetching, combined with OpenAI for summarization. The tool searches the web via Browserbase's search API, fetches up to 30 unique URLs, deduplicates and diversifies sources, then summarizes findings into a markdown report. The TypeScript project is open source, configurable via environment variables, and costs roughly $1 per 1,000 pages fetched. The author also outlines a multi-loop agentic pattern where synthesis results feed back into new searches.
