GitHub is rolling out three improvements to its status page to improve transparency during incidents. First, a new 'Degraded Performance' severity level is being added alongside Partial Outage and Major Outage, so minor disruptions are no longer misclassified. Second, per-service uptime percentages over the last 90 days will now be published, calculated using weighted downtime based on incident severity. Third, a dedicated 'Copilot AI Model Providers' component will separate model provider outages from the broader Copilot service, reflecting that many Copilot features support multiple models and can fall back to alternatives.
