Jetpack Telecom v1.1.0 introduces native-level visibility for third-party VoIP apps on Android. Key new features include unified call history (VoIP call logs surfaced directly in the system dialer), native callback functionality (users can call back VoIP contacts from the system dialer), and call log exclusion (developers can prevent specific calls from appearing in system logs via the isLogExcluded flag in CallAttributesCompat). The unified call history and callback features require Android 16.1 (SDK 36.1) or higher. Native dialer rendering is being rolled out in phases, starting with Google Meet, and uses secure package allowlists to prevent spam. A sample app and open-source Telecom Sample Dialer are available for testing.
