Bret Taylor’s Sierra buys YC-backed AI startup Fragment

Sierra, the AI customer service agent startup co-founded by Bret Taylor and valued at $10 billion, has acquired YC-backed French startup Fragment, which helps businesses integrate AI into workflows. This is Sierra's third acquisition in quick succession, following Opera Tech (Japan) and Receptive AI, both announced in late March. Fragment's co-founders will join Sierra's team to strengthen its agent development efforts in France. Financial terms were not disclosed; Fragment had raised approximately $2 million in seed funding.
