Bots, so many Bots

ProductHunt has over a million user signups with more than 60% being bots. The author used ProductHunt since 2014 and noticed that most comments are now generated by ChatGPT. They conducted a simple test with a large language model (LLM) prompt and found that almost all comments were automated. Through analysis, it was revealed that bots have been increasingly active in user signups, comments, and upvotes, especially since 2022.
