That’s a crazy idea! I wonder if this method could be applied in some real world use case.
However, at the same time, I hate the idea of moving from own-hardware towards cloud aka “someone else computer”.

That is so cool! I booted Arch off of removable media (USB stick) and thought that was cool but this destroys me!

And here I thought network booting is a piece of work to do, but this… This is crazy and I like it. The whole process could be replicated with basically any HTTP-based file provider and used to power “dumb” terminals (kiosks, display devices in buses, etc.) without the need of a physical storage device to keep the software in. Think: zero updates needed, just download the latest image and go.
