Blu Label has warned it will absorb a R5.2-billion hit related to Cell C as it finally draws line under a long-running saga.

Blu Label Unlimited Group (formerly Blue Label Telecoms) will report a massive basic earnings loss for the six months to end-November 2025, driven by a R5.2-billion accounting hit from its disposal of controlling stake in Cell C following Cell C's JSE listing. Stripping out Cell C-related items, the underlying business posted revenue of R5-billion, Ebitda of R535-million, and core headline earnings of R398-million. However, even on this adjusted basis, core headline earnings per share fell 10–14% year-on-year. Full results are due 25 February 2026.
