A new WMI driver for Bitland laptops is queued for the Linux 7.1 kernel. Developed via reverse engineering the Windows Management Instrumentation interface, the Bitland MIFS WMI driver supports platform profiles (quiet/balanced/performance), hardware sensor monitoring via HWMON (CPU, GPU, fan speeds), keyboard backlight controls, GPU mode selection, hotkey handling, and a fan boost mode. Bitland is a Chinese OEM previously known for manufacturing systems for Lenovo, now on the US Entity List.
