Winnix is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu 24.04 that mimics the Windows 11 interface, offering a free alternative to Windows. The distro comes pre-installed with Wine for running Windows applications, Microsoft web apps (Word, Excel, Teams), and productivity tools like OnlyOffice and Chrome. Installation is straightforward, requiring no TPM or Secure Boot, and it can run on older hardware. The demonstration shows installing Winnix in a Proxmox VM and successfully running a Windows application (MobaXterm) using Wine integration. The interface closely replicates Windows 11's look and feel, including settings menus, start menu, and desktop features.
