In today’s rapidly expanding (and often insecure) internet, developers need better tools and insights to ensure that each dependency they bring in is secure, well-maintained, and widely adopted.
Many organizations take security seriously, yet still rely on patchwork solutions that small companies often can’t afford. That’s why we built a lightweight layer on top of NPM—we’re calling it Better NPM – ExpressoTS Store—to deliver a comprehensive view of every package you consider. This includes data on security breaches, maintenance status, and adoption rates. We’re also focusing on providing ecosystem-wide details that help you scan your project, spot potential vulnerabilities, and make truly informed decisions when selecting dependencies. Developers can gain comprehensive transparency into packages to make more informed decisions.

I thought JSR is already a Better NPM. I can imagine that in a few years there will be several competing package registries, so the JS environment will be even more fragmented. Thanks.
What’s missing is a list of direct and indirect dependencies and a dependency graph of the considered package, like on <a href="https://deps.dev/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">https://deps.dev/</a> so the view is not very comprehensive, especially when it comes to security. Just saying.

With <a href="https://www.seal.security/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Seal Security</a> you can use whatever package you want in any version and it supply the same package with security patches of any critical/high CVE that were found :D

Cool but I kind of thought that’s what <a href="https://socket.dev" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">socket.dev</a> was doing in terms of the whole added security scrutiny?
I could be wrong though 👌🏻
