Haiku OS, the open-source BeOS successor, has achieved a significant milestone with its ARM64 port now booting under QEMU virtualization. Progress during March 2026 included fixes for building on macOS ARM64, new driver work, and continued Microsoft Hyper-V support. Real hardware support is still in progress. Additional work included application improvements, a USB Ethernet driver fix, and regression fixes as the project works toward its Beta 6 release.
