Benoit Richer, game director of the in-development Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe, has left Ubisoft to co-found Servo Games, a new independent studio in Quebec. He joins industry veterans Luc Tremblay, Alex Drouin, and Dany Marcoux at the new studio. Richer is the third major team member to depart the Codename Hexe project, following franchise lead Marc-Alexis Côté (who later sued Ubisoft for constructive dismissal) and creative director Clint Hocking. Jean Guesdon has been appointed as the new creative director for the project, which remains in development at Tencent-backed Vantage Studios alongside the Far Cry franchise.
