The article presents detailed research on Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down key combinations across Windows/macOS, major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), and screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver). Key findings reveal inconsistent behavior across platforms, critical conflicts with screen reader navigation, and the importance of avoiding shortcuts that break assistive technology functionality. The work emphasizes that web apps aren't the center of users' workflows and that overriding existing shortcuts can exclude disabled users.
