AWS VPC Encryption Controls are now available in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and (US-West) regions. The feature lets teams audit and enforce encryption in transit within and across VPCs, monitor traffic flows for plaintext, and automatically apply hardware-based AES-256 encryption across network paths including Fargate, Network Load Balancers, and Application Load Balancers. It simplifies compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, and FIPS 140-2 by enabling centralized enforcement and audit log generation.
