AWS Transform, an agentic migration and modernization tool, is now available as an extension in VS Code and as a Power in Kiro. It enables developers to run automated code transformations directly from their IDE — including Java, Python, and Node.js version upgrades and AWS SDK migrations (e.g., boto2 to boto3, Java SDK v1 to v2). Custom transformations can be defined and run across thousands of repositories at once. Job state is shared across the IDE, web console, and CLI. Custom transformations are currently available in US East (N. Virginia) and Europe (Frankfurt).
