AWS Managed Microsoft AD adds Multi-Region replication for Opt-In regions

AWS Managed Microsoft AD (AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory) now supports Multi-Region replication in AWS Opt-In regions. This removes the need to manually create and synchronize separate directories per region. The service automatically handles inter-region networking, deploys domain controllers across Availability Zones, and replicates directory data including users, groups, Group Policy Objects, and schema. It also configures an Active Directory site per region to optimize authentication and reduce cross-region transfer costs. The feature is available in all Opt-In regions where AWS Managed Microsoft AD is supported, except UAE and Bahrain.
