AWS Lambda Provisioned Mode for Kafka event source mappings (ESMs) is now available in three additional regions: Asia Pacific (Taipei), AWS GovCloud (US-East), and AWS GovCloud (US-West). This feature lets developers pre-provision and auto-scale event polling resources (event pollers) between a configurable minimum and maximum, helping handle unpredictable traffic bursts in Kafka-driven Lambda applications. It supports both Amazon MSK and self-managed Kafka ESMs, and can be configured via the ESM API, Console, CLI, SDK, or CloudFormation. Billing is based on Event Poller Units (EPUs).
