AWS Lambda now supports Ruby 4.0 as both a managed runtime and a container base image. Ruby 4.0 is the latest LTS release, supported for security and bug fixes until March 2029. The new runtime includes support for Lambda advanced logging controls with JSON structured logs, configurable logging levels, and CloudWatch log group configuration. It is available across all AWS regions including China and GovCloud, and can be deployed using Lambda console, AWS CLI, SAM, CDK, and CloudFormation.
