AWS HealthOmics now supports VPC-connected workflows, allowing life sciences customers to run bioinformatics pipelines that access AWS resources across regions and public internet resources through their own Virtual Private Cloud. Previously, customers had to migrate data and dependencies to the same AWS region before running analyses. New Configuration APIs let users specify VPC settings per workflow run, enabling access to publicly-hosted datasets and cross-region AWS resources without modifying workflow code. The feature is available in all regions where HealthOmics is offered.
