AWS Gateway Load Balancer now allows customization of TCP idle timeout values between 60 and 6000 seconds, enhancing traffic flow management for applications with long-lived connections. This feature helps maintain uninterrupted stateful inspections and optimizes application performance by reducing traffic interruptions. Configurations can be changed using the 'tcp.idle_timeout.seconds' listener attribute and are available in all AWS commercial and GovCloud regions.
