AWS Batch has introduced a configurable scale down delay for managed compute environments via the new `minScaleDownDelayMinutes` parameter. This allows instances to remain running between 20 minutes and 1 week after job completion, reducing cold-start delays for intermittent or periodic workloads. The setting can be configured through the AWS Batch API or Management Console and is available in all regions where AWS Batch is supported.
